What law student is looking at the Wall Street Journal Law Blog during exams time ? Probably not many. But a posting from a couple days ago by Ashby Jones might still be useful next time, for a bit of general guidance about what might earn that higher grade.
With a ruefully witty introduction the posting presents the concise views of law professors from seven law schools including Yale,Michigan, Creighton, Marquette, UCLA, Columbia and Stanford, about what they look for in a law school exam answer.
The author hints that a strong incentive for applying some of these tips might be that you won't have deal "with the dude who slept through Contracts or the woman who completely flubbed it every time she was called on in Civil Procedure or, worst of all, the guy who wore a freakin’ tie to your 8:30 a.m. Torts class", possibly scoring higher than you and not letting you forget it.
Incentive indeed !
